Balinese Culture Lesson Tour – As a whole, Bali has amazing culture with its unique architectures, richly hued costumes and hand woven cloth, rice terraces and traditional irrigation system and cooking class. All will take you upon a new discovery and meaning of Bali. The tour is uniquely designed to take a closer look at Balinese people’s way of living, starting from how the villagers make a living through cultivating paddy, playing music using bamboo musical instruments, learning to dance the Balinese traditional dance, learning to make an offerings made from young coconut leaves, flowers, fruits (sliced or wholesome) and even sweets all for the deities as grateful gestures of the Balinese people.

Balinese Dance Lesson

Balinese Dance Lesson

In this program the participant will learn the basic movement of various Balinese dances, starting with Welcome Dance "Panyembrama". The dances from the basics of Balinese Dance in which all the Balinese must learn before learning other dances. The lesson takes around 1 hour include tea time.

Canang Sari Lesson

Religion is such an intrinsic part of daily life in Bali. Bali is offering is called "Canang". Canang is made of young coconut leaves completed with flowers, fruit, traditional cake, candies to complete the offering. Non Balinese sometimes get this idea for house decorations. Here we will give you short lesson around 1 hour to prepare it include tea time. Duration: 1 hour The offerings made during the training will be given as a souvenir for the participant.

Rindik Lesson

Rindik is a Balinese traditional music from bamboo which is put lying down orderly. It sound comes from beating the bamboo by a small stick. The player normally sits by crossing his legs while playing Rindik. Rindik is often used by hotels welcoming the guest, restaurant or wedding ceremony. Here you will get a short lesson for 1 hour how to play Rindik include tea time and get some introduction with other traditional instruments.

Bumbu Bali Cooking Class

Bali is also rich in cuisines made from ancestral heritage recipes constituting the blends of spices and creating unique flavors. During this training, the participants are taught the basic introduction of Balinese cooking and practice. Duration: 3 hours The cuisine prepared during the training will be enjoyed by the participant as lunch or dinner set on the table.

Gamelan Music Course

Gamelan is a traditional kind of orchestra. It is used as instrumental music in many cultural activities in Bali and the accompaniment of dance performance. In this session, the participants will learn the basic introduction of gamelan and practice. Duration: 1 hour

Batik Making Course

Batik is the process of painting on a piece of cloth by using wax and a tool called canting. Batik is a creative method of painting motifs on a piece of cloth. Initially, batik was made as the clothing for the nobles. However, slowly, batik has developed into a highly valued export commodity. This batik training includes basic introduction of batik and practice. Duration: 2 hours The batik made during the training will be given as a souvenir for the participant.

Balinese Painting

The beauty of Bali has inspired and has been perpetuated by many famous local and foreign painters such as Nyoman Lempad, Rudolf Bonnet and Walter Spies. Like the painters, your experience of Bali could also be expressed on canvas when joining this training which includes basic introduction of Balinese painting and practice. Duration: 2 hours The painting created during the training will be given as a souvenir for the participant.

Wood Carving Course

Woodcarvings are handmade and specifically designed for building decorations. The decorations with their unique motifs are displayed in temples, palaces and houses. During this training the participants will be taught basic introduction of Balinese woodcarving and practice. Duration: 1.5 hours The woodcarving created during the training will be given as a souvenir for the participant.

Silver Jewelry Course

Balinese silverwork is well-known overseas. It is one of the best handicrafts of artistic touch and sustainable innovation. This training includes the basic introduction of Balinese silverwork and practice. Duration: 2 hours The silverwork made during the training will be given as a souvenir for the participant.

Yoga and Meditation

One of the teachers of these programs is Atma Ananda (Maria Nikolaeva). Her teaching is based on her holistic spiritual experience, and her unique path was described in her ‘Out of Biography’. Atma Ananda (Maria Nikolaeva) teaches ‘Self-Being Strategy’ based on main principles of development using traditional techniques: Yoga, Vedanta, Taoism, Buddhism, Reiki etc. She can teach each tradition specifically as well. Her own 20 years spiritual experience can be described in two main parts.
